Peter Freed

A born and bred Torontonian, Peter Freed has been re-imagining the city for nearly two decades. Drawing inspiration from different
forms of architecture, contemporary art, fashion, music and travel, his eye for undiscovered potential goes unmatched. Deemed a visionary by both colleagues and clients alike, Peter has been credited with renewing the once desolate King West area. He has envisioned a community for city dwellers who want to work and play just steps from their front doors. Peter Clewes

Peter Clewes is the founder and principal of architects Alliance. Over 30 years, Peter has created buildings and public spaces shaped by the clarity, simplicity and functionality of modern architecture. Peter's residential work ranges from the Thompson Hotel and Residences to the Pond Road Residence at York University, Canada's first 'green' student housing. aA's condominium projects have received numerous Toronto Urban Design Awards, and awards from Canadian Architect magazine, the Design Exchange, the Ontario Association of Architects, and the Urban Land Institute in Washington, DC. The Thompson Hotel and Residences, designed for Freed Developments, was recently nominated for a Governor General's Medal in Urban Design.

Johnson Chou

Since founding Johnson Chou Inc. in 2001, Johnson has developed his studio into an interdisciplinary design firm encompassing architecture and interiors, furniture and industrial design. His award-winning and internationally recognized projects include advertising offices for Grip Limited and Zulu Alpha Kilo, Head Offices for Red Bull Canada and private residences in 10 Bellair and the Candy Factory condominiums. Johnson was a longstanding member of the Advisory Board for MoCCA, a founding curator for Red Bull Gallery's 381 Projects and is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts (RCA). The firm's work has been published in several compendiums including 1000X Architecture of the Americas, Contemporary World Interiors and Interior Architecture Now.
